Craftivism Lectures and Writings

2014 to present

In 2016, I wrote my Masters Thesis on craftivism in clay. This was the first scholarly document to necessarily redefine craftivism as a method, rather than an artistic movement.

Since then, I've been a dedicated critic and historian of the method, and continue to offer good-faith criticisms, lectures, and

consultations on craftivist projects.

Canadian Society for Decorative Arts, virtual lecture.

In 2022, I served as the Guest Editor for Ornamentum, a publication from the Canadian Society of Decorative Arts, for an issue focused on REMAKING. It featured pieces on fiber artists in Manitoba, a curiosity shop in Toronto, The Textile Museum's Reuse Programs, and other sustainable craft practices.
